Beyra Trejo A Little Princess Frances Hodgson Burnett 1 1/2 Hours 50 Pages Response: So far I have read The Diamond-Mines up to In The Attic. These two chapters where really sad. When reading these two chapters I kept thinking about how, Sara is feeling knowing that her father died in war and she has no money and no place to go. Miss. Min chin was very upset about not getting paid for all Sara has cost her. Sara got the news in the middle of her birthday party. I know that if it was my birthday I really wouldn't want to hear any thing like "Your father was killed" that would of just been such an unexplainable feeling. I think that the author really tried to put an impact in this part of the book. I think that he really showed that with Sara crying, and not believing in magic any more. I can see why she wouldn't believe in anything any more, It much be really hard losing your father. In the book Sara grows alot as a character. For example realizing very soon that she has to do whats best for her, to stay strong, and she knows that some how everything is going to fall in to place. Sara from then has to work as a servant to earn her room and food at that school.

I'm really enjoying this book its very sad, but interesting to read I can't wait to read the next chapter!

Sara's father ends up getting sent to go fight for the British in WWI. Captin Crewe decides to leave Sara in the same boarding school her mother attended as a young girl girl. This school takes place in New York. Sara turns out to give a bad impression to the headmistress, Miss Minchin. Sara keeps breaking the rules, but doesn't know what she seems to be doing wrong. Sara's a girl who loves beliving in magical fantasty. She loves telling stories, and that was a way that Sara started making some friends at the school. One of her friends turns out to be Ermengarde, a girl how had a hard time in French class and was constantly picked on. Sara also met a girl named Becky that was a servant at the school, and wasn't alowed to talk to any of the girls. Sara wasn't alowed to talk to her because she had dark skin. She made friend with her when Beck was caught listening to one of Sara's stories. Sara didn't mind her being a different color. Sara Crewe is trying to fit in at this school. Book is turning out really good I can't wait to see what happens next in the chapter The Diamond - Mines.

1) I think that I really wouldn't get in a situation that deep in but, I wouldn't be so quiet about it like some people did in the book. 2) I would really worry not just for my self but, If I thought about it wouldn't I think I would worry more about family staying together than my self, I think I would for sure. 3) I think that I would bring money for any type of emergency, because you never know what you might need on a journey like this. 4) I would most diffenently not want to go, I mean really thinking about going some were you'll know any thing bad can happen to your family or your self.

1.I think that I would be like Keav, because I can really relate to how shes feeling when this is going on, I also think that I can relate to her type of personality in the book. 2. My favorite part of this book was when she finaly got to some were she feels safe and relived that she got to America, some were she really wanted to be. 3. I agree with Rachel, I knew that he was going to die at some point in the book, but still I felt very sad because he was a character that his family always counted on him, he was their "Rock." 4. I kind of agree with Lexi because it could of been better but when you think about we can't really add much, I thought that it was good book overall, and I would recommend it. 5. I can't really say, because she really went through a hard time in life, but if nothing mattered but that I think that I might have last but I not really sure.

I am not really sure why Khouy means "should be feared" but I think it is because he is just one of the oldest of his family and he has been through a lot and he knows that anything can happen so take care. 2. I would really be worried and scared at that moment in time. If I saw strangers in my town I would wonder, and try to figure out why there here, and who they are. Next I would want us to leave our city like Loung an her family. 3. I think that they drove away in the pick-up truck because they had to not carry so much attention because they don't know if people might think that they are important goverment officials, when they are suppose to be pesents. As well as so Khemer Rouge Army wouldn't harm them. 4. I think that her father is kind of one of the leaders on a certain side because the government wants to hurt them, because they on the other hand, the government side is against her father and her family.

1. I really wouldn't know what to do if that was to happen to me, I think that I would be more worried about my family at that point. 2. I think that I wouldn't be able to handle what she had to go through but, I think that if something like that happened to me it would be different and I would maybe try as much as she did. 3. I think that I would choose Youn Army, because I think that I like there reasoning a bit better that Ankgar Army, but I really don't agree with either of the sides. 4. If I had to do that I think that I would, because I think that your family is the most important thing that you could have, and If you could do something to help them at a time like that it would give an impact on live.
