Beyra Trejo A Little Princess Frances Hodgson Burnett 1 1/2 Hours 50 Pages Response: So far I have read The Diamond-Mines up to In The Attic. These two chapters where really sad. When reading these two chapters I kept thinking about how, Sara is feeling knowing that her father died in war and she has no money and no place to go. Miss. Min chin was very upset about not getting paid for all Sara has cost her. Sara got the news in the middle of her birthday party. I know that if it was my birthday I really wouldn't want to hear any thing like "Your father was killed" that would of just been such an unexplainable feeling. I think that the author really tried to put an impact in this part of the book. I think that he really showed that with Sara crying, and not believing in magic any more. I can see why she wouldn't believe in anything any more, It much be really hard losing your father. In the book Sara grows alot as a character. For example realizing very soon that she has to do whats best for her, to stay strong, and she knows that some how everything is going to fall in to place. Sara from then has to work as a servant to earn her room and food at that school. |
I'm really enjoying this book its very sad, but interesting to read I can't wait to read the next chapter!
